Young Peoples Mental Health Support Session

Sheffield United Community Foundation has launched a mental health support session for young people in partnership with Leisure United Thorncliffe and Strong Minds Together.

The session is for 11–15-year-olds and runs every Thursday from Leisure United Thorncliffe from 4-6pm. The session aims to help young people that may be feeling anxious or low by giving them a safe space to have fun, make new friends and access support from our trained staff members.

The session is made up of two halves, with the first half being like a social club. Participants have the opportunity to play games, get creative with arts and crafts and speak to staff members. The second half encourages participants to get active and take part in football and team building activities.

All of our activities encourage teamwork, building self-confidence and developing interpersonal skills.

If you know a young person that may benefit or be interested in attending our session, please contact Josh Blunkett at josh.blunkett@sufc-community.co.uk or complete the online sign up form here.
