Trio Secure Jobs Thanks to Youth Hub Support
The Youth Hub has been celebrating a fantastic triple success story!
A group of customers recently attended information days exploring careers with leading discount clothing and homewares retailer TK Maxx. Following the sessions, three young people impressed so much that they were successful in applying for a training programme delivered in partnership with The King’s Trust.
Eclair, Zander and Nazdar have been actively involved in the wide range of opportunities provided by the Youth Hub, which works in collaboration with the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) to support young people in receipt of Universal Credit. The Hub offers practical guidance and personal development, designed to help young people move closer to employment, education, or training.
In recent months, the trio have taken part in mock interview sessions, money management workshops, and mentoring circles. They have also accessed specialist employment skills programmes delivered by Street League and the WEA, building confidence, teamwork, and resilience.
Their commitment and enthusiasm has clearly helped and staff mentors at TK Maxx were quick to recognise their potential. Each of them have now started work at different branches across Sheffield.
Congratulations to Eclair, Zander and Nazdar on your well-deserved success. Everyone at the Youth Hub is very proud of you!
