It’s Good to Talk

Our Health & Wellbeing team are excited to announce ‘Talk Club Sheffield’ as the latest addition to our Mental Health Support programme. This is a weekly session that provides a safe space for men aged 18+ to share feelings, listen and meet like-minded people to help improve mental health and reduce the risk of suicide amongst men.

Suicide in the UK is the biggest killer of men aged under 45, with an average of 12 men taking their own lives every day.

Health Coordinator, Josh Blunkett, said: “We hope Talk Club will be a weekly space that men can come to and receive support, listen to others, and talk about how they are feeling.”

“This can provide a massive weight off people’s shoulders, and hopefully leave them feeling much better as a result. This is a fantastic, essential initiative, and we look forward to opening the doors to all.”

Talk Club Sheffield is FREE and participants can attend by simply turning up on the day. Sessions are every Wednesday and run from 6-8pm in the Blades Family Hub.
