Super Draw Lotto in the spotlight with Fans FC

Sheffield United Community Foundation has partnered with the Sheffield United SuperDraw Lotto lottery scheme. The SuperDraw Lotto is a lottery draw in which participants have the opportunity to win some fantastic cash prizes.

As part of our partnership, a minimum of 20% of the stake money, and any proceeds after prizes and expenses have been deducted, will be donated to the Sheffield United Community Foundation.

Over the last few months, this partnership has helped fund a lot of our Community Foundation projects. One of the projects that has benefitted from our partnership with the SuperDraw Lotto is our Fans FC Project.

Fans FC is a programme designed to support those diagnosed with, affected by, or to help prevent, cancer. In partnership with the Premier League Charitable Fund and Weston Park Cancer Charity our Fans FC programme aims to provide FREE mental and physical support to those that need it.

Our Fans FC programme has delivered a comprehensive online activity programme through the pandemic, offering invaluable support to those that need it. Fans FC participant, Claire, said: “It [Fans FC] has given me confidence to take part in exercise again.”

“If this hadn’t been on during COVID, I wouldn’t have done anything at all.”

“I can’t say enough about how great this has been.”

Head of Foundation, Chris Bailey, is excited to see what impact the SuperDraw Lotto can have on our community programmes. Chris said: “It is fantastic to be able to utilise the donations from the lotto for local community projects, supporting those most in need. The Foundations work would not be possible without supporters engaging with us, and playing the lotto is one of the ways you can help us to continue our work across the city”
