Sheff Utd PL Primary Stars deliver No Room for Racism lesson

As part of recognising and celebrating Black History Month, our Premier League Primary Stars coaches delivered a session on culture and diversity to students at Arbourthorne Primary School in Sheffield.

This session was created by the Premier League as part of their No Room For Racism campaign.

James Morley, Premier League Primary Stars Coordinator said, “It was fantastic to come into the Arbourthorne school and deliver the No Room For Racism lesson. The children got a much better understanding for diversity and equality, and how football can make a huge difference in building relationships between different cultures.’’

‘’We have been learning about differences…” said Roman and Kai, two students from Arbourthorne Primary School. “…and how it’s not right to exclude someone because of the colour of their skin.’’

Mrs Maxted, teacher at Arbourthorne added, “The session was very informative. It was enjoyed by all of the children and they have gained a good understanding about culture and diversity.”

Sheffield United Community Foundation will continue with our work against racism, in partnership with the Premier League and the No Room for Racism campaign.
