Recognising Community Collaboration: Foundation Wins Community Partner Award at Sheffield Schools Get Active Awards

We were thrilled to receive the Community Partner Award at the Sheffield Schools Get Active Awards!

Our Participation & Inclusion team have had an outstanding year working with so many great partners across the city and we couldn’t be happier to be recognised by the school sport providers with this award.

Rob Jenkinson, Participation & Inclusion Manager said: “I think what drives the Foundation to embed itself in the Sheffield school network is that we feel like we can contribute a lot to what is already a well-connected city. To have the support of key partners, it’s really enabled young people to move more than they did the day before. It really drives us to keep on working on these collaborations and maintain outstanding delivery city-wide.

We’d like to give a big thank you to the School Sport Providers for allowing us to present these amazing opportunities and be involved in brilliant moments like ‘Football Friday’ during Arches SSP ‘Girls Week’; that was quite a touching moment for us. It really demonstrated the collaborative work we can do together and has helped embed long-term participation in school sport and physical activity.”

This recognition is a testament to the incredible partnerships that make our work possible. We’re proud of what’s been achieved so far, and even more excited about what lies ahead as we continue to support inclusive, active lives for young people across Sheffield. On to 2025-26!
