PL Kicks participants deliver Sheffield United Hampers

Before Christmas the Premier League, in partnership with Marcus Rashford’s campaign to make sure that children don’t go without meals, decided to run a three-day PL Kicks Holiday Camp.

As part of our PL Kicks programme, Sheffield United Community Foundation ran the camps from U-Mix Sheffield and Sheffield Springs Academy.

PL Kicks Christmas Camps

45 participants attended these camps, which started off with fitness and core strength circuits in the morning, followed by fun competitions and football in the afternoon.

Sandro Vashakidze, Premier League Kicks Coordinator said: “It was a very successful PL Kicks Camp after a hard year trying to get through the COVID-19 pandemic.

“All of our participants had a great time on the Camps and it was nice to end the year on a positive.”

Sheffield United Hamper Delivery in the Community

Whilst attending the PL Kicks Camps, our Participation & Inclusion team received a number of Christmas hampers from the Club. These hampers were made up of lots of festive gifts and a Christmas card from everyone at Sheffield United.

Our PL Kicks participants took these hampers around Sheffield and gave them to people in the Community.

Nida Nisa, PL Kicks participant said: “It was great to see the smiles of the people in the community as we delivered the hampers around.

“The camps were fun and the coaches really looked after us by providing prizes and food.

“They also set up competitive tournaments which we definitely found the most enjoyable part.”

Our PL Kicks programme runs throughout the year, with lots of sessions running across Sheffield. If you are 8-18 years old and would be interested in attending our FREE football sessions, please go to www.sufc-community.com for more information or check out our social media channels @CommunitySUFC.
