Health Face-to-face sessions return!

The Health & Wellbeing Team are pleased to announce that our face-to-face sessions will be restarting from 19th July across all programmes! This will see the return of some of our older sessions, but also the introduction of some new ones.

Fans FC

Our Fans FC Programme will include face to face sessions such as: Badminton, Walking Football, Health walk, Pitch side Fitness, Action Stations, Boxing for Fitness, Coffee Morning and Chair-based Exercise.

These sessions will take place at various facilities across the city and are a great way to get active, meet new people and have fun.

Mental Health Sessions

As part of our mental health support provision, we have Men’s, Women’s and two Young Peoples sessions now running from Goodwin Sports Centre (Men’s & Women’s) and LU Graves and Thorncliffe (Young Peoples).

Ending Forever Isolation

Newly launched, this programme aims at reducing loneliness and isolation for over 65’s. This session is an open tea and coffee morning with the opportunity to play board game and socialise with others.

Walking Football

After a long wait, our turn up and play walking football session at Springs Leisure Centre will be back up and running. These sessions are open to anyone that would like to come and give the slower paced version of the game a try.

COVID-19 safety measures will be in place at all sessions. Temperatures will be taken before hand and the NHS Track & Trace system will be in place. Please ensure that you sanitise and social distance where appropriate.
