🍴 Foodworks JustMeals Freezer – Now at the Blades Family Hub
We’re excited to announce our new partnership with Foodworks! Together we’ve opened a JustMeals freezer in the Blades Family Hub.
These delicious, ready-to-go meals are:
✅ Made from surplus food collected across Sheffield
✅ Healthy and nutritious
✅ Just £1 minimum contribution (please pay more if you can)
👉 For now, the freezer is only open to people attending Sheffield United Community Foundation sessions at Bramall Lane. But we’re working on ways to make it available on matchdays and to the wider public – watch this space!
🚲 Sustainable Travel to Bramall Lane – Have Your Say

⚡ Spotlight: Why Smart Meters Matter
We’ve partnered with the EFL to spread awareness of the benefits of Smart Meters.
Did you know that no matter your energy provider you can get a Smart Meter for free? You don’t even need a wifi connection, just somewhere to plug it in!
- Track your energy in real time – see what you’re using, as you use it.
- Cut bills by cutting waste – spot the energy-hungry appliances that cost the most.
- Better for the planet – helps the UK move towards a cleaner, greener energy system.
- No more meter readings – your energy use is sent automatically, making life that little bit easier.
Whether you own or rent your property, getting a smart meter is a small change that can make a big impact – for your wallet and the environment. Find out more here.
🌿 Green Space Regeneration – Volunteers Wanted!
Building on our work with local group NESST, we’re bringing more green life into the local area – and we need your help. Our next project will be at Hill Street (next to Armando’s Scooters).
No experience? No problem. Just bring yourself (and maybe some gardening gloves) and we’ll provide the rest.
🌟 As a thank you, we’ve got a limited number of men’s first team tickets available for volunteers – first come, first served!Interested? Email flora.medford@sufc-community.co.uk to get involved.
🔧 Coming Soon: Repair Café @ Bramall Lane
Why throw it away when it can be fixed? We’re planning to host a Repair Café in the next few months, right here at Bramall Lane.
Bring along your broken household items – or share your fixing skills – and help cut down on waste.Fill in this form and we’ll be in touch with further details.
💻 Don’t Bin It – Breathe New Life Into Old Laptops
From October 14th 2025, Microsoft will stop supporting Windows 10. That means laptops which can’t upgrade to Windows 11 are considered “end-of-life.” But here’s the good news: they don’t have to go in the bin!
Instead, we can upgrade them for free with Linux, a secure, open-source system that works on almost any computer. It’s fast, reliable, and completely free.👉 There will be support with this at our upcoming Repair Cafe where we’ll give it a new lease of life in minutes. Please complete the link above if you’re interested in coming along!

🐐 Heeley City Farm – Play Area Appeal
Our friends at Heeley City Farm have been supporting Sheffield communities for years, with education programmes, adult support, and a free-to-visit green space.
But their much-loved playground, used by thousands of local families, is now beyond repair and will have to be demolished within 12 months.
They need to raise an additional £20,000 to build a brand-new, inclusive play area for children of all abilities. If you’d like to support this brilliant cause, visit: heeleyfarm.org.uk/
