Foundation to provide free places on football camps this summer

Sheffield United Community Foundation have been granted funding to provide FREE places on our football camps during the summer holidays.
Utilising funding from Sheffield City Council and the Holiday Activities and Food Funding, children between the ages of 5 and 18 years who are eligible for free school meals are able to register for a free place on one of our football camps taking place between 26th July and 27th August 2021. Each child and young person will also be provided with a healthy meal for every day they attend one of our camps.
Ash Ibbotson, summer camps coordinator for Sheffield United Community Foundation said,
“We are thrilled to be involved in supporting this initiative and we can help so many children and young people access our holiday activities who may not have the opportunity without this funding.
We can provide children with the opportunity to take part in structured, fun learning outside of school, and we will provide participants with a healthy meal every day they attend too.”
We have a limited number of places available on all camps and these are filling up fast. We currently have places available on our mixed boys/girls’ camps and girls only camps at:
- Leisure United Westfield, Moss Way, Sheffield, S20 8FA
- Leisure United Graves, Bochum Parkway, Sheffield, S8 8JR
- Handsworth Junior Sporting Club, Olivers Mount, Sheffield, S9 4PA
If your child is eligible for free school meals and you would like to enquire about a place, please contact Ash Ibbotson on 07983946509 or ash.ibbotson@sufc-community.co.uk.
