Education Taster Sessions

The Foundation’s Football and Education Academy have organised some taster sessions for current Year 11 students (or 16–19-year-olds) to get a feel for how their future could be for the next academic year.

The Academy is ideal for any young person who is interested in studying for a career in sport, with pathways for men studying BTEC Sport Level 2 & 3 and an exclusive women’s pathway studying BTEC Sport Level 3.

All education is delivered by qualified teachers and UEFA qualified coaches, giving you the very best guide to starting a career in sport. The course also gives you chance to play football for the Academy’s elite and development teams, so whichever suits your approach, the Academy has you covered.

The courses are based at Handsworth FC (S9 4PA) and Leisure United Westfield (S20 8FA) and the first taster sessions are as follows:

Handsworth

Men’s Pathway, Tuesday 14^th December, 6-7pm

Women’s Pathway, Thursday 16^th December, 6-7pm

Leisure United Westfield

Men’s Pathway, Tuesday 14^th December, 6pm-7pm

After these initial sessions there will be student interviews in February, full day taster sessions in April and then pre-enrolment sessions and football training in May.
