Education Action Day #MoreThanFootball

The Education department uses the power of football, to encourage and inspire students of all abilities to reach their potential.
Since 2018 the department has grown by almost 200%. This September we welcomed 225 students onto our programmes that vary from 12 week-long traineeships for 16-24 year olds seeking ways into employment right through to A-level equivalents and a full honours degree.
We believe the department has developed at such a fast pace due to the passionate staff striving to offer as many students in Sheffield an opportunity to better themselves both personally and academically through high quality education and pastoral care which is evident from the success rates of the course and the increased recruitment which has come as a result of investing in our programmes & staff internally & externally to create a team of fantastic people who go above and beyond for the students they work with.
This year has been a record breaking one for student numbers despite the COVID 19 restrictions, and we are determined to give our staff and students a welcome escape from life’s current complications by enjoying every moment they spend working for or being educated by Sheffield United Community Foundation.
