Ash rides 370 miles for Cancer Research UK

During March, Participation & Inclusion’s School Sport Coordinator Ash Ibbotson and his brother Ben decided to ride the equivalent distance of the Trans Pennine Trail (370 miles) for Cancer Research UK.

They initially set their fundraising target at £370 but ended up raising over £900 in total. The pair chose to raise money for Cancer Research as their Auntie sadly lost her battle with cancer last year. With family and friends battling cancer at the moment, Ash and his brother hope that they can make a difference.

Ash said: “Cancer is something that’s close to home for me personally and Cancer Research is a great charity to raise money for, to try and stop other families going through what we have and are going through now.”

Sheffield United Community Foundation would like to congratulate Ash on the great work that he has been doing outside of his role with us. Well done, Ash! Keep up the great work.
