100 Christmas Care Packages Delivered

In the run up to Christmas, our Health & Wellbeing team delivered 100 Christmas parcels to people in the community as part of Fans FC.
These parcels provided the participants of our Fans FC programme with a treat ahead of Christmas, as the team wanted to ensure that everyone had a Christmas present to open and something to make them smile over the Christmas period.
Health & Wellbeing Manager, Levi Ashton, said: “We are so proud to have been able to raise some smiles this Christmas.
“The feedback that we have received has been incredibly heart-warming and we look forward to improving our participants health and reducing the risk of cancer in 2021 using the equipment provided.”
The parcels were made up of letters written to our participants by local school children, Christmas decorations, chocolate and a cracker that was used at the Fans FC Christmas party.
There were also other health and wellbeing themed gifts such as a variety of physical activity equipment. This included ankle and wrist weights, dumbbells, resistance bands.
To top the package off, we included a water bottle and a Fans FC workout t-shirt for participants to wear whilst keeping active at home.
