Sheffield United Community Foundation are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and well-qualified individual to lead high quality delivery on our Premier League Kicks programme.
Using the reach and appeal of the Premier League and network of professional football clubs, Premier League Kicks will regularly engage children and young people of all backgrounds and abilities in football, sport and personal development – providing a trusted, positive influence in high need areas across England and Wales.
The goal of PL Kicks is to inspire young people to achieve their potential and improve their wellbeing, working together to build stronger, safer and more inclusive communities.
PL Kicks is for children and young people aged 8-18 years and is inclusive and accessible to all. We also seek to provide specific inclusive opportunities for key priority groups including girls, LGBT+ and children and young people with disabilities.

About the role:
The primary focus of the role is the delivery of a variety of inclusive community sessions in disengaged communities. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering and/or supporting staff to deliver workshops with participants on a variety of topics related to personal development.
The coach will be accountable for the welfare of children and vulnerable adults under their supervision in line with the Foundation’s Safeguarding Children and Vulnerable Adult Policy. The coach will lead/support the delivery of community engagement and sports sessions as part of the PL Kicks Programme and any other community programmes where appropriate.
The coach will ensure all delivery is in line with health and safety, GDPR and safeguarding policies and procedures. The roles requires the coach to be punctual and act in a professional manner at all times, representing SUFC and the partner organisations. The coach will be responsible for any trainees, junior staff, work placements or volunteers under their supervision. It is essential any accidents regarding staff and/or participants involved in SUFC activities are reported on MyConcern.
The role will also embrace equality, diversity and inclusivity matters in order to facilitate a consistent, co-ordinated and embedded approach to fairness and opportunity across the Foundation.
The coach may be requested for other duties by the PL Kicks Coordinator, Participation & Inclusion Officer and/or management.
The coach will undertake other duties, training and/or hours of work as may be reasonably required which are consistent with the general level and responsibility of this role. This includes staff cover on other Foundation programmes where necessary.
