About the Role:

An exciting opportunity has arisen within Sheffield United College, prestigious community foundation for an energetic and dynamic Physiotherapist/Sports Therapist working on a casual basis.

Reporting to the Football Development Officer, the successful candidate will be responsible for providing medical cover for college home fixtures on Wednesdays, in addition to training sessions which take place on various days throughout the week (12pm until 1.30pm). You will lead the rehabilitation and return to play of injured players across the college. Working closely with the coaching team to deliver an injury prevention / prehab programme, as well as lead various individual and groups sessions. You will be required to work across multiple sites based across Sheffield.

Key Objectives of the Role:

  • To take responsibility for the co-ordination and communication surrounding injuries. sustained, rehabilitation and return to play for players.
  • Provide medical cover for home games – normally on Wednesday although sometimes this can change, and flexibility is required.
  • Provide medical cover for training sessions including the delivery of prehab and rehab programmes as required.
